NFT (Non-Fungible Token)

A type of digital asset that represents ownership or proof of authenticity of a unique item or piece of content, using blockchain technology. Unlike cryptocurrencies which are fungible, NFTs are unique and can't be exchanged like-for-like.

Each NFT has a distinct identifier recorded on-chain, which makes it suitable for art, collectibles, tickets, and credentials. The token points to metadata — the artwork itself is usually stored elsewhere, such as IPFS.
