Node

A fundamental unit in a network or data structure, representing a point of connection or an element in a graph. In blockchain, a node is a computing device that participates in the network by maintaining a copy of the ledger.

Nodes validate transactions, store ledger history, and relay blocks or consensus messages. More independent nodes generally means a more resilient and censorship-resistant network.
