Base Reserve

A minimum amount of XLM that every Stellar account must hold to exist on the ledger. It prevents ledger spam and funds subentries like trustlines.

Each account needs a small XLM reserve, and each trustline, offer, or signer adds to it. Reserves are locked, not spent — they are released when you remove the subentry.
