Entities within the Stellar network that issue assets and take deposits. They serve as a bridge between existing financial systems and the Stellar network.

An anchor might accept a bank deposit and credit your Stellar account with a matching token — or redeem tokens back to fiat. Regulated anchors are how stablecoins like USDC reach the network.
